Calling the Hotline
How the Hotline Works
Looking at our Services
Call the Hotline when you are seeking support for abortion healthcare. It is staffed by trained volunteers who can talk to you about abortion access and getting help paying for abortions. Hotline volunteers can provide guidance on insurance matters and answer questions about applying for financial aid through the Oregon Health Plan. These advocates also manage NRO’s Women in Need (WIN) Fund – a source of financial assistance for abortion procedures and related expenses
If you are looking for a clinic where you can get an abortion procedure, our Resource Center has a list of such places in Oregon.

The Hotline works on a call-back basis. You can leave a message any time, but calls are returned Monday through Friday, generally outside of regular business hours, primarily in the evenings. Calls are typically returned within 24 hours, although during busy times it can take up to 48 hours. If you need to be called during the day for any reason, please say so when you leave a message, and indicate times that would be best to reach you. We call from a restricted number to ensure your privacy, so make sure your phone can accept blocked calls. Please let us know if it is safe to leave a message at your number. We have Spanish-speaking volunteers, so you can leave a message in Spanish.
Some of our Hotline Volunteers and people who have called the Hotline and received financial assistance from NRO have described their experiences and discussed why NRO’s services are so important to them. Go take a look at Stories from the Hotline.
